Strawson was a carpenter who had come to work on Westminster Universtiy. After he received an injury that made it impossible for him to continue as a carpenter he went into the real estate and insurance business. He purchased a small building for $50 and moved it to his property. This planning for the incorporation election was held in this small building. Voted on Incorporation in April, 1911. Fred made the motion to the Town Council to change the name of Connecticut Avenue to Bradburn Boulevard. Fred is buried in riverside Cemetery, Denver, CO |
